(Note: Although there are Jewish people with frizzy red hair and big noses, the movie's rendition is done in an almost mocking way of those features.) The outrage was seen everywhere causing both confusion and amusement for onlookers who hadn't known that so many people considered Griffin to be sexy. Many took to social media that their hopes and dreams for Griffin were now ruined due to looking a lot like an antisemitic caricature. Asides from completely retconning the message and character development of the previous films, the main issue fans had was that Griffin, when hit by the human/monster ray, looked nothing to what fans had fantasized him as. The trailer reveals the film's plot consists of main character and human Johnny turning into a monster to feel more accepted as a family by Dracula. It wasn't until the release of the fourth movie's trailer that Griffin suddenly became a Keter level Sexyman. Research shows that there are instances of people actively drooling over Griffin since the release of the first film but gained little to modest attention. Many thought him to be attractive but kept it to themselves as the HT fandom has never been massive (besides the hoards of young children who enjoy the franchise) or playing off their attraction as a joke. Even with the little screen time he has, Griffin has proven to be very supportive of his friends and is shown to take initiative when needed. He has a tendency to prank people and prefers not to be the one being pranked. With help from Mavis (Selena Gomez) and the hilariously human Drac Pack, the heat is on to find a way to switch themselves back before their transformations become permanent.
